Our Guest house is within easy walking distance of Edinburgh city centre, we are about a kilometre from Princes street Edinburgh’s main shopping street and Waverley train station Edinburgh’s main train station. The house itself is a listed Victorian townhouse dating back to 1856, the rooms are mostly furnished with restored period furniture which we have collected over the years. Our breakfast room has a large black marble fireplace, an ornate cornice ceiling, wide bay window and a large 10 foot antique mahogany table where you can enjoy breakfast with the other guests, the chairs were formerly church chairs from St Giles cathedral and date back to the 1880’s. From our home you can easily access all the main visitor sites either on foot or by catching one of the many buses that travel up and down Leith walk just around the corner from us. The Leith shore area is only a short bus ride or walk away, this is where you will find many popular restaurants and pubs as well as the former Royal yacht “Britannia”.
