Hillside Bed & Breakfast, situated in the historic market town of Kendal. Set in an elevated position within Kendal’s conservation area, Hillside is just a 4 minute walk uphill from the town centre. Awarded a Visit Britain 4 Star Rating, Hillside Bed & Breakfast offers six en- suite guest bedrooms where we hope you will enjoy a restful night . You will find Hillside Bed & Breakfast an ideal base for exploring the auld grey town and the beautiful Lake District National Park. A bustling market town, there is much to do and enjoy in Kendal including the town trail, riverside walk and great shopping in the town’s historic “yards”. Treasures include the Brewery Arts Centre, Abbott Hall, the Quaker Tapestry exhibition, Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall. Kendal also hosts events and festivals throughout the year including the Westmorland County Show and the Mountain Film festival.
Rooms
The en-suite facilities in our rooms consist of a shower, WC and wash basin. Complimentary refreshment trays are provided in all bedrooms these include tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, sugar and milk portions. We are happy to provide fresh milk on request. Trays are provided for muddy boots but we can place wet boots and clothing in our boiler room for drying, hair dryers in each room We have available iron & ironing board, sewing materials and fans. Our beds are made-up with white laundered cotton top and bottom sheets covered with synthetic duvets and topped with a bedspread. All pillows are synthetic filled but feel like feather. Extra pillows and blankets are stored wrapped in or on the wardrobe. We are happy to provide sheets and blankets if preferred. Please specify before your arrival if required. There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and reading lamps in each room. Seating is available in each room. A Lakeland brochure is provided which contains details of local attractions and areas of interest. Instructions in the event of a fire are located on the back of the bedroom doors. There are fire detectors and sounders in each room.
