Beverley Guest House Reviews
About Weston-super-Mare
Walk along the sands to Uphill village, which is very pleasant. If you walk through the boatyard and climb the hill to the beacon site, there is a wonderful view of the very end of the Mendips Brean Down and the sweep of the sandy coastline.
Walking along the seafront has been a challenge during the winter, as the contractors are trying to finish the Sea Defence work. This involves laying a new promenade from Marine Lake to the Sea Aquarium, with a splash wall, and new lighting Iit will look lovely when it is finished, and we are anticipating a July end date.
The Pier is coming on in leaps and bounds, the shape is there, the cladding is on. We gather that rides are being fitted and a date at the end of June is now a distinct possibility. Now the Pavillion will be three storeys high and cater for weddings and conferences as well! It’s going to be spectacular!
The Tourist Office are organising more events. The sandscupltures will be on the beach for most of the summer. Carter’s Steam fair will be back in August, and Helidays with a beer festival in July. Everyone is working hard to give people a good time.
Spring weather has been gorgeous these last few days, and it’s a pleasure to be walking in the sunshine.
Peter and I walked along the sands to Uphill village, which is very pleasant. If you walk through the boatyard and climb the hill to the beacon site, there is a wonderful view of the very end of the Mendips Brean Down and the sweep of the sandy coastline.

Every time we ambled along there was a different pathway to use! However it will look lovely when it is finished, and we are anticipating a July end date.
