About the Area
The town of Bude is a beautiful North Cornwall holiday resort with lovely beaches and a wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. It has fine surfing beaches and was the first British surf resort. There are picturesque walks along the coastal footpath and along the beautiful Bude canal. Within an hours drive you can visit Boscastle, famous for the big flood and now skillfully transformed, Port Isaac where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed, Padstow made famous by the internationally famous chef Rick Stein, the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Helligan, the historic village of Clovelly, Bodmin and its moor which houses the haunted Jamaica Inn and many childrens attractions. The stately homes of Llanhydroc House National Trust and Hartland Abbey are also easily accessable.
