Ellenboro Bed and Breakfast is a comfortable, stylish and friendly residence located in the Lake District National Park, just three miles from the southern shores of Windermere. We are three miles from Newby Bridge and Cartmel.
Our beautiful home is located in the south Lakeland hamlet of Low Newton.
It is set in an area that is perfect for walking, fishing and cycling while other nearby attractions include Yew Tree Barn, Windermere Lake Cruises, Cartmel Priory, Lakeland to Haverthwaite Railway, Sizergh Castle and Lakeland Motor Museum.
The neighbouring hamlet of High Newton is home to the Crown Inn, a delightful Lakeland Inn offering excellent dining, fine wines and local cask ales.
The villages of Cartmel and Grange-over-Sands are just a few miles away where visitors can enjoy local specialities including Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding and Higginson’s famous pies, plus the tourist attractions of Cartmel Priory and Grange-over-Sands park with its collection of unusual water birds.
Rooms
ur bed and breakfast room has recently been refurbished. It’s a spacious south facing room with views over the garden, which guests are welcome to explore and enjoy. You can even pick your own fruit from our orchard when in season or relax by our chimnea with a glass of wine.
Facilities in the room include a double bed, large wardrobe, hairdryer, TV with DVD player, iPod doc and complimentary Wi-Fi. We also offer a hostess tray with a selection of hot drinks, decanter of port, sweets and homemade biscuits/cakes.
The bedroom features a compact en-suite shower room with fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries.
