Tresillian House, Melton Mowbray Reviews
About Melton Mowbray
Melton Mowbray is situated half way between the cities of Leicester and Nottingham in the East Midlands. 40 minutes from East Midlands Airport and 1 hour from Birmingham International it has hourly rail connections running east/west which connect to the main north south lines to Scotland, London and the North West. The attractive Vale of Belvoir is within 5 miles and Rutland Water with water sports facilities and bird watching opportunities within 14 miles. Melton Mowbray is well known as the centre for Stilton Cheese and Melton Mowbray pork pies. It hosts renowned food fairs specialising not just in local products but also from all over the country. There is a wealth of walking opportunities, golf, fisihing, boating and cycling. Many people come to Tresillian House when visiting Burghley Horse Trials, The Rutland International Bird Fair or their family members. The town is a small market town - one of the few weekly cattle markets left in the midlands - and boasts a beautiful parish church - St Marys - which is cathedral style in aspect, together with the Ann of Cleves house - part of the divorce settlement from King Henry VIII to the Queen Anne.
