Rye Hill is full of character and was originally built around 1850 as a two bed Victorian cottage. The house was substantially extended in the 1930s and still retains many original Arts & Crafts features. Then in 2002 another large extension was added creating a spacious and extremely comfortable house. We have two lovely en-suite bedrooms - the Willow Room and the Rose Room. A delicious full English breakfast is served either in the elegant dining room or, when weather permits, outside on the terrace. Whenever possible we use fresh, local produce and preserves. The Snug is a cosy sitting room for the exclusive use of our guests in the Willow and Rose Rooms. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind during your stay, either reading a book or magazine or alternatively watching the 32 TV. Rye Hill nestles at the end of a lane in the centre of a Smallbrook Meadows Wildlife sanctuary, surrounded by fields and countryside meaning your stay is peaceful and relaxing. Additionally we are ideally placed to visit Stonehenge, Longleat Wildlife Park and the House & Gardens plus Bath, Salisbury and Stourhead. The stunning local countryside lends itself to those who enjoy walking and cycling. There are also a good number of excellent pubs nearby to enjoy delicious lunches and dinners.
