We, Yana & Ian welcome you to Holly-Wood our Guest House in Windermere, it is a beautiful Victorian family run Guest House where we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over the world, we look forward to offering you a warm friendly welcome and a comfortable relaxed atmosphere and accommodation for you to enjoy during your trip to the beautiful Lake District and its many attractions and activities.
We aim to offer a quality stay in Windermere with little extras available. If you want a quiet restful break in friendly comfortable surroundings then Holly-Wood is the place for you.
Holly-Wood is set in a quiet residential road in Windermere just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the quaint village of Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. A short 15 minute stroll down the hill will take you to Bowness-on-Windermere with its many shops, cafes and restaurants. You can also take an enjoyable boat ride on the Lake from the bottom of the hill.
We have several walking books that our guests are more than welcome to borrow. We also have contact with a local Climber who can organise activities from beginners to advanced subject to availability and advanced booking.
We can also recommend several walks in the area within 30 minutes of the door, as well as walks further afield, for some of the views in the area please take a look at our picture gallery page. We also have numerous leaflets on the activities and attractions in and around the Lake District. We can also arrange for half or full day tours of the Lake District with Local knowledgeable companies.
Rooms
All our bedrooms have a welcoming atmosphere and attractive decor to help our guests relax after an enjoyable activity packed or quite day spent in The Lakes. They all have En-suite shower rooms, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, radio alarm clock, flat screen colour TVs, complimentary spring water on day of arrival, a hospitality tray with Fair-trade products and quality cotton towels. All our beds have crisp Egyptian cotton bedding.
If required additional items such as Chocolates and or flowers can be provided for those special occasions
