About Dawlish
Dawlish is a quaint South Devon seaside resort between Exeter and Torbay on the edge of beautiful rolling countryside as it meets the impressive cliffs of the South Devon coastline. Dawlish, famous for its Black Swans, is perfect for those seeking a quiet, friendly and attractive town to spend a holiday.
With its mix of Victorian and Georgian architecture and thatched cottages, Dawlish has a special charm and character. In the centre is an attractive park with an avenue of mature Chestnut trees, beautiful flower beds, palms, cacti and exotic plants. All providing a perfect setting for a brook which cascades over a series of small waterfalls all the way to the sea.
The brook provides a home for Dawlish Black Swans and many species of waterfowl. The Lawn provides a safe environment for family games during the day and at night there are hundreds of coloured lights to make a magical place for a summer evenings stroll.
There are three beaches, Boat Cove, Coryton Cove and the main beach that stretches all the way to Dawlish Warren. Dawlish is well placed for exploring the South Hams, Dartmoor, Totnes, Torbay and Exeter.
