About Betws-y-Coed
Betws-y-Coed Prayer house in the wood, is probably North Wales most popular inland tourist resort. It is located where the Conwy River meets its 3 tributaries, the Llugwy, the Machno and the Lledr. This natural beauty first attracted artists in the first part of the 19th century. Their work shown in the British cities soon attracted visitors to see in person the wonderful landscapes, waterfalls, forests of Betws-y-Coed and what is now the Snowdonia National Park.
Much of Betws-y-Coed was built in the early Victorian period to cater for this early form of tourism. Set in a beautiful valley in the Snowdonia Forest Park, it is ideal for outdoor natural playground for activity holidays.
