All about Devon...

Halwill Juction Devon - central area for visiting North Devon, mid Devon and Cornwall. Close to the A30 for travel to the Cathedral city of Exeter and for travelling into Cornwall. Many Trust properties to visit nearby. Rural location with beautul scenery. Close to Roadford Lake for walking and water sports. Ample opportunity for fishing with a number of fishing lakes in the village and close by. The Dartmoor national park is very close and the North Cornish coast at Bude is about 30 minutes by car. Lovely walks in Cookworthy forest, located in Ruby Country, an area named after the Devon Ruby cattle.



Seaton is a small, quiet seaside town in East Devon. It is on the Devon, Somerset, Dorset borders and lies on the Jurassic Coast, surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Beauty. There are numerous interesting walks, including a section of the 400 mile Coastal Path and East Devon Way. It has bus services across a wide area, which includes the Jurassic Coast service between Exeter and Poole. It is a short drive to Dartmoor and just 25 miles from Exeter and Taunton.
It has a very popular tramway across the marshland nature reserve, between Seaton and Colyton. There are attractions nearby, such as Pecorama, the Donkey Sanctuary and Crealy Park Adventure complex.
The town has tennis courts, bowls and putting and a cliff top golf course near to the River Axe. The river Axe is a very long river that winds through three counties, opening out into the Yacht club at the edge of Seaton.
Seaton Bay is beautifully set between Haven Cliff and the cliffs of Beer. Beer itself is a lovely and interesting old fishing village.
The area is served by many pubs, cafes and restaurants.

You are well placed to visit the many tourist attractions in the area from Dartmoor, the South Hams as well as the miles of unspoilt coastlines. You are never stuck for a day out at the numerous day trip destinations including steam railways, neolithic caves, miniture village, Paignton zoo and a whole host of others.
